Delighted to say my EP Fake Depth is now on Spotify
My latest release is 2020’s EP Fake Depth.
Thanks to Andy Miller for helming it at Gargleblast Studios.
Special shout out to Dave Mulholland-Main for not only playing bass but designing the artwork.
Thanks too to Michael O’Rourke for providing the drums (with one arm in a sling) and Rachel Wilson whose cello playing really shaped the songs.
Lloyd James Fay is a Glasgow based singer-songwriter, formerly the lead vocalist and guitarist in the alt-rock band Thula Borah his music has appeared on Hollyoaks, BBC Radio and been featured in Stereogum. His influences include Mark Kozelek, Malcolm Middleton, James Taylor and Laura Viers.
In 2013 he released his debut album The Black River Chronicles, an introspective reflection on formative years, childhood stories and forlorn first love in suburban Lanarkshire’s creaking post-steel-industry suburbs on independent label Platform Records, which was recorded at Gargleblast studios with renowned producer/engineer Andy Miller (Mogwai, Arab Strap, De Rosa).
He has performed solo at Celtic Connections, Spree, Live@Troon and MugStock festivals and is currently working on new material, attempting to tackle and reflect the strange and uncertain times we are living in.
